  • Hospitalist schedule is flexible self-scheduled with 12-hour shifts
  • PRN, as needed position
  • 12 hour shifts
  • Collaborative team of colleagues with strong support staff, fostering autonomy in practice
  • Response time within 30 minutes
  • Utilize Vidyo Telehealth
 

Responsibilities

  • Managing cross coverage & low acuity admissions (as needed) on overnight shift for one or more hospitals, depending on the number of beds covered.
  • Cross cover needs, include but not limited to entering orders, calling nurses, staff, patients, or families.
  • Helping with transfers to higher level of care if needed overnight, transfer to ICU or other floors within same facility, calling in through Vidyo to evaluate patients if needed.
  • Documentation per CMS & TH guidelines for H&Ps, cross coverage, significant events, handoff, etc.
  • Staffing with assigned attending physician overnight for complex cross coverage needs and deteriorating patients and any other needs.

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Inpatient experience as a NP or PA REQUIRED
  • Acute Care training preferred
  • Board Certified
  • CA, NY, OR, VT, WA and DC are un-hirable states
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in Iowa.
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
