What you’ll be doing:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious sport and leisure professional to join our team to deliver greater health benefits for people in Slough through the full range of places and partnerships across the borough.

The Senior Active Communities Officer role is key to monitoring, developing and promoting participation opportunities in leisure, sports, and physical activities that contribute to the health of our residents. The work will be delivered in collaboration with our local stakeholders, including residents, council colleagues, contractors and local sport organisations.

You will have an eye for detail in contract monitoring and be key to influencing the positive development of sport and leisure sites, liaising on improvement planning, and monitoring performance data. This role is the key liaison between local facility operators, sports clubs, other physical activity providers and council officers.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
