Position Overview

  • Job Title: Housekeeper (HSKP)
  • Location: Between 31st & 32nd Street on Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach
  • Schedule: Variable hours, must include weekends and holidays
    • Typically, 9am - 5pm (based on volume)
  • Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk

Summary:
Our Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning all guest rooms assigned. Supplying our guests with perfectly clean rooms that meet our company and brand standards. Each guest room is cleaned completely within a safe and timely manner.

Job Functions:

  • Replenishes supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
  • Clean all areas of guest rooms including bathtub/shower, toilet, sink, floors, mirrors, etc.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment.
  • Make beds with fresh linen
  • Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  • If applicable clean and organize patio furniture and balcony
  • Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  • Replace light bulbs and remote batteries if needed.
  • Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
  • Reports on working for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
  • Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
    Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • General Education High School GED Required
  • Able to communicate in English verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
