We are searching for the best talent for a Business Unit Manager to join our J&J Aesthetics and Reconstruction team. This position is remote anywhere in Canada with the ideal candidate based in Ontario, Canada.

Purpose:

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven leader to assess and shape the AnR Business strategy, including structure and resource allocation and to lead a high-performance Sales and Marketing culture. You will manage and mentor a sales and marketing team, support key strategic accounts to build and sustain long-term customer relationships, and be accountable for exceeding the agreed annual forecast and business plan across both top- and bottom-line metrics. As the Canada Business Unit Manager, you will attract and develop top talent, champion the J&J MedTech culture, and position the business to grow faster than our competition.

You will be responsible for:

  • Shaping strategy, structure and resource allocation to drive the business direction.
  • Develop and execute an integrated Sales and Marketing strategy that maximises revenue and profitability, acting as the conduit between strategy and execution.
  • Oversee P&L management, budget allocations, and resource prioritization to optimize profitability and growth
  • Translate market and customer insights into bold growth initiatives, digital go-to-market tactics and capabilities to accelerate adoption of digital surgery solutions.
  • Lead and coach the marketing and sales teams to deliver unit growth, market share and margin improvements, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Own franchise vision and go-to-market plans, coordinating regional and global resources for new product introductions and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive commercial outcomes through pricing, tenders, contract strategy and timely identification/action on business and tender opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen long-term customer relationships, prioritise key accounts, and use competitor and account analysis to target investment and mitigate at‑risk customers.
  • Manage BU financials and operations, including forecasting and expense control, support for DSO targets, E‑Commerce initiatives, and efficient marketing processes/systems.
  • Own the AnR P&L for Canada.
  • Ensure compliance and operational excellence by adhering to HCBI/SOX/SOP and other internal and external requirements, reporting adverse events, and embedding governance in third‑party relationships.
  • Team Development & Talent Management: enabling their success through coaching during field visits, on-going dialogue and candid performance feedback
  • Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with key customers, payors, and industry stakeholders. Manage complex and demanding customer accounts, ensuring high levels of service, contract compliance, and mutual value creation. Conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment, contract compliance, and mutual value creation. Develop insights into customer needs and market dynamics to inform strategy and product offerings.
  • Champion the adoption of digital-first strategies, including digital marketing, social media engagement, and data analytics, to enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and operational insights.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the timely and efficient shipment of products. Support the coordination of logistics operations, address any issues that may impact delivery schedules, and work to minimize disruptions to meet customer expectations and maintain high service levels.
  • Oversee the execution of marketing, sales, and educational initiatives with strict adherence to Healthcare Compliance standards. Ensure all activities align with legal and ethical standards and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business/Marketing, or a related field is required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of total work/business experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in marketing or related commercial roles with a proven track record is required.
  • Bilingual in English and French strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting and business metrics.
  • Experience of owning a P&L.
  • Deep knowledge of the medical device industry, customers, competitors and market dynamics, with the ability to translate insights into growth actions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people‑development experience — coaching, building high‑performing teams and succession planning.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver key initiatives, drive accountability and achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and working effectively in a complex, cross‑functional matrix environment.
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity and change, with experience in turn‑around or transformation programs.
  • Commitment to high standards of quality, compliance and ethical behaviour; models the Credo values.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license and willingness to travel (>40%), including overnight and weekend commitments.

The expected base pay range for this position is $110,000 to $189,750 CAD.
